We are delighted to announce that the next guest curator of our Instagram profile (@ercpoetryda) will be Sirka Elspaß (@sirkaelspass), who is taking over its curation in February 2025! Following Tim Holland, Tanasgol Sabbagh, Christoph Wenzel, Jörg Piringer, Cia Rinne, and Elizabeth Torres, Sirka Elspaß is the seventh poet to be bringing more poetry to Instagram and expanding the collaborations between scholarship and art within our research project.
About the curator: Sirka Elspaß is a poet and editor. Her first volume of poetry, ich föhne mir meine wimpern, was published by Suhrkamp in 2022. Her book was nominated for the Austrian Book Prize and the Clemens Brentano Prize, and won Wiesbaden’s Orphil Poetry Prize for the Best Debut of 2024. She has also published in various magazines and anthologies, and was a prizewinner at the Treffen junger Autor:innen in 2010 and 2012. She was also coeditor of the magazine Bella triste.
We look forward to the month to come and the range of poetic self-expression that Sirka Elspaß has in store for us as curator! Her first posts will be available on our Instagram profile @ercpoetryda on February 4, 2025.
