Prof. Dr. Fabian Wolbring (SP2)
In October and November 2023, Prof. Dr. Fabian Wolbring (University of Marburg) will be a Research Fellow in our project.
He is Professor of Modern German Literature and Didactics of Literature at Philipps University Marburg. His primary research interests include media literacy, youth and popular culture, poetry didactics and theory, and interdisciplinary song and reading studies. He is the author of the pertinent monographs Sprachbewusste Gedichtanalyse: Eine praktische Einführung (Göttingen, UTB / Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht, 2018) and Die Poetik des deutschsprachigen Rap (Göttingen, V&R unipress, 2015).
He will be affiliated with sub-project 2 of the ERC project, “Music(alization) and the Lyric: Recent Medial Correlations”. During his research stay in Hamburg, Fabian Wolbring will participate in a Poetry Debate on the topic of “Lyrics as Poetry? The Poetic Quality of Song Texts” on November 1, 2023, at Thalia Theater, Nachtasyl.
